This tool allows you to preview customizations made to your ezBoard in Internet Explorer 6+.

Directions For Installation

  1. Because of security features in Internet Explorer, you must save the page to your local hard drive before you can use it.
  2. Select the File menu, Save As menu option. Select "Web Page, HTML Only" as the "Save as type" and save it in a convenient place on your computer.
  3. Edit the values of the four input boxes below to point to your board, an example forum, an example topic and an example posting form screen.
  4. Add the text "<!-- custom head -->" to the beginning of your custom HEAD box (before everything else). Enable it if it is not already enabled.
  5. Add the text "<!-- end custom head -->" to the end of your custom HEAD box (after everything else).
  6. Add the text 'style="/* body start */"' to the beginning of your custom BODY box (before everything else).
  7. Add the text 'style="/* body end */"' to the end of your custom BODY box (after everything else.
  8. Add the text "<!-- custom header -->" to the beginning of your custom HEADER box (before everything else). Enable it if it is not already enabled.
  9. Add the text "<!-- end custom header -->" to the end of your custom HEADER box (after everything else).
  10. Add the text "<!-- custom footer -->" to the beginning of your custom FOOTER box (before everything else). Enable it if it is not already enabled.
  11. Add the text "<!-- end custom footer -->" to the end of your custom FOOTER box (after everything else).

Directions For Use

  1. Open the local page in Internet Explorer.
  2. Make any changes to the URLs necessary.
  3. Click on "Get Board Code!" to retrieve the HTML for each of the previews and the customization code.
  4. Edit your ezBoard customizations in the boxes provided.
  5. Select one of the four preview options from the dropdown box.
  6. Click on "Preview Changes" to see how your board would look with the customizations.
  7. Copy the data from the boxes on the preview tool into the "Custom HTML" form on ezBoard (you cannot directly save your changes from the tool).
  8. Click "Save Changes" on the ezBoard form to save your customization changes.
